Student Council to Aid City of Hope

Next week, the student council will begin collecting gift cards and unwrapped toys for children in the City of Hope Pediatric Ward.

The idea was brought before the council by eighth-grade student, Ashley Bouchakian.

Gift cards can be from any store, including gas stations and grocery stores, but the council is asking that toys be for older children, ages 12 to 14.

“Little kids at the hospital receive lots of toys, but people tend to forget about the older ones,” Bouchakian told the Crier.

The fundraiser must end on December 16, 2013, so please ask your friends and family if they can donate.  The student council is looking for a lot of participation.
