Where’s the Air?
In this new program, students explore the properties of air as they use a variety of equipment in the Big Lab, including the Wind Wall and Mega Tower. Does air have weight? Can it move things around? How can we use it to help us? Students will investigate these questions and more.

Endeavour and the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center
The California Science Center is honored to have been selected by NASA to be the permanent home of Space Shuttle Endeavour. The orbiter's ultimate mission is to inspire current and future generations of explorers and scientists as the centerpiece of a new air and space center, a major expansion to the Science Center's main building.

On Wednesday, October 29th , second graders will travel to the California Science Center to experience the lab, Where’s the Air, and view the Space Shuttle Endeavour up close and personal. Students will depart early from The Learning Castle at 9:15 a.m. and return to campus at 2:30 p.m.

Students will need to bring a sack lunch, including snack and drinks, in a clearly labeled disposable bag. Please make sure that you do not order Freshlunches on a field trip day.

If you would like your child to attend this trip, please complete and return the attached Field Trip Permission form by Friday, October 17, 2014.
