Caterpillar to Butterfly

Students explore the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly through art activities, stories and interactive play. In this lively program, students are introduced to the primary parts of a butterfly's anatomy and compare and contrast the five senses of a human to the senses of a butterfly.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, K1 students will take a short bus ride to the kidspace Children’s Museum to explore the beautiful, changing world of the caterpillar. kidspace is located at the west end of Brookside Park in Pasadena, near the world-famous Rose Bowl stadium. The museum occupies the buildings that formerly housed the Fannie E. Morrison Horticultural Center.

Students will be departing The Learning Castle campus at 9:00 a.m. and returning to campus at 11:30 a.m., in plenty of time for lunch.

If you would like your child to attend this trip, please complete and return the attached permission form to the office by Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
