Lolly Gallup Receives Diamond Service Award at Annual Dinner

On Thursday night, May 14, 2015, Lolly Gallup was honored as this year’s Diamond Service Award recipient at The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory’s seventh-annual Diamond Donor Dinner.

The dinner and ceremony, held at the beautiful Rococo Room in Old Town Pasadena, is attended by the schools’ major donors and celebrates the fiscal goals of the campaign and 100% parent participation.

The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory Director Terry Villanueva gave the opening remarks and thanked everyone in attendance for their generous support.

Assistant Director, Justin Whalin, then briefed those in attendance on the progress of several site improvements as well as the national results of new reading and mathematics programs.

Administrator, Scott Albright, spoke on the many technology improvements that have occurred at the schools over the past twelve months, as well as the interscholastic athletic program and student club program.

Parent liaison, Aggie Malolepszy, presented the Diamond Service Award to Ms. Gallup, saying, “Over the years, she has chaired many events and served as a room parent and sports team mom.  She is dependable, creative and loyal.  I’m proud to call her my friend.”

During Ms. Gallup’s many years of dedicated service, she was an avid volunteer and instrumental in the design and implementation of TLC and LCP’s Annual Spring Festivals and the schools’ 20th-Anniversary Gala.

The evening concluded with a slide show featuring the children of the donors in attendance.
