Sixth Graders Go to AstroCamp

On Monday, April 20th, the sixth graders headed out to the AstroCamp, located in the San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild.

At AstroCamp, the students learned about microgravity, electricity and magnetism, and forces through a variety of hands-on lab exercises (the highlight being the soda bottle rocket project) and developed social skills and teamwork through group activities.

Both teachers and students had a wonderful time and left with a greater appreciation of astronomy and physical science.
