All About Air

In this program, students explore the properties of air as they use a variety of equipment in the Big Lab, including the Wind Wall and Mega Tower. Does air have weight? Can it move things around? How can we use it to help us? Students will investigate these questions and more.

IMAX: Humpback Whales 3D

An extraordinary journey into the mysterious world of one of nature’s most awe-inspiring marine mammals, Humpback Whales 3D takes audiences for an up-close look at how these whales communicate, sing, feed, play and take care of their young. Join a team of researchers as they unlock the secrets of the humpback and find out what makes humpbacks the most acrobatic of all whales, why they sing their haunting songs, and why these intelligent 50-foot, 48-ton animals migrate more than 6,000 miles round-trip every year

On Monday, November 2nd, second graders will travel to the California Science Center to experience the lab, Where’s the Air, and to learn about the magnificent humpback whales in the IMAX production of Humpback Whales 3D Students will depart early from The Learning Castle at 9:30 a.m. and return to campus at 2:30 p.m.

Students will need to bring a sack lunch, including snack and drinks, in a clearly labeled disposable bag. Please make sure that you do not order Freshlunches on a field trip day.
