Yearbook Cover Contest Deadline

Event Date and Time:
Monday, November 30, 2015 (All day)
Are you an LCP Student?  Do you have skills?  Drawing skills?  Painting skills?  Design skills?  If you have any of these skills, then you should enter LCP's tenth-annual Yearbook Cover Design Contest.  The winner's artwork will be featured on the front and back cover of this year's TLC/LCP yearbook.
The deadline for entries is Monday, November 30th, 2015. This gives you the Thanksgiving break to produce some awesome art! Please follow these guidelines when submitting artwork:
•   Artwork should be created on paper designed for art.  This includes drawing paper, construction paper, and printer paper.  Pencil or pen drawings on line paper will not be accepted under any circumstances.
•   Artwork should be completed.  Half-done drawings, rough sketches, and/or ideas won't be accepted.
•   Think in color.  Our yearbook is full-color, including the cover. Color your artwork and it will have a better chance of being selected.
•   Remember that you’re designing both the front and back cover.  Make sure you submit either two finished 8.5” x 11” sheets (or larger) or one 11” x 17” piece.  Try to unify your sheets into one design that flows from the front cover to the back.
•   Make sure to incorporate the words: "The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory 2015-2016 Yearbook" into your artwork.
•   Be creative.  Feel free to use your favorite media and methods when designing your cover art.  Drawing, painting, collage, and computer artwork are all acceptable and encouraged.
Good luck!  If you have any questions,
see Mr. Chan in the LCP office.
