Lady Knights Return to the Championship Match
LCP defeated Glendale Academy today in a Foothill Sports League semifinal match, 2-0 (25-12; 25-23) to advance to the league championship game on December 6.
The Lady Knights faced off against a much improved Glendale Academy side who gave LCP a real test. LCP easily handled Glendale back on October 27th in a straight-set win, 25-5; 25-15.
In today's match, LCP trailed early in the first set before going on a run late to win 25-12. The Lady Knights fell behind again in the second set but managed to jump out to a 19-14 advantage late. A very determined Glendale team closed the gap to 23-21 before LCP closed out the match, 25-22.
This will be LCP's third trip to the championship match in the last four years. The Lady Knights won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.
