On March 3, 2025, the 17th Annual LCP Open Chess Tournament opened with four first-round matches. After three months of lunches, 102 matches, and 222 games, the tournament came to a conclusion on Monday afternoon, June 9, 2025.
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, twenty- eight graduating eighth-grade students from La Cañada Preparatory, adorned in blue baccalaureate caps and gowns, processed down the aisles of Lanterman Auditorium to “Pomp and Circumstance” before administration, faculty, family and friends.
The La Cañada Preparatory Athletic Department hosted their Fourteenth-Annual Sports Awards Banquet on Friday, May 16, 2025, with over 140 student-athletes, family and friends attending. The event was held at the FIS gymnasium.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, The Learning Castle, La Canada Preparatory and The Sand Castle Preschool honored over 150 mothers from their parent body at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. This year’s luncheon paid tribute to the Kentucky Derby with attendees wearing their most stylish and elegant Derby wear.
On Saturday, March 22nd, The Learning Castle and La Canada Preparatory’s performing arts department presented their annual spring production, A Rabbit Hole Through Time, before near-capacity crowds at La Canada’s own Lanterman Auditorium.
On Monday and Tuesday, February 17th and 18th, TLC and LCP held their annual art show at the LCUSD Rotunda where over 400 student pieces were on display.
On Friday, January 31st, local La Cañada private schools, The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory, held their 24th-Annual Science Fair. Over 95 entrants, ranging in age from eight to thirteen, proudly displayed their experiments which covered eight different scientific disciplines.
