TLC/LCP Move Copper and Bronze to Distance Learning
After careful consideration and due to the drastic increase in the COVID-19 positivity rate and hospitalization rate in Los Angeles County, we will be temporarily transitioning our specialized services cohorts (Copper and Bronze) to distance learning.
Currently, we expect and plan for these cohorts to return to campus on February 1st barring an acceleration of Covid cases or hospitalizations in our community. We will closely monitor the data and statistics from the LADPH to ensure that we return these cohorts to campus as soon as it is prudent to do so.
Students in transitional kindergarten through the second grade will remain in person starting January 11th. It is important to note that a single positive case within a group will result in a fourteen-day quarantine of the entire cohort and that three cases within a fourteen-day period will result in a mandatory closure of the entire campus, so please be sure that you are symptom free before returning to school.
Purple class students who would like to transition to distance learning for the remainder of the term (February 15th) may join Miss Amy’s online Zoom classes by notifying the office.
Copper and Bronze students will be receiving an email with their Zoom schedule and meeting IDs tomorrow.
Thank you for your support during these difficult and challenging times.
