LCP Graduates the Class of 2025

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, twenty- eight graduating eighth-grade students from La Cañada Preparatory, adorned in blue baccalaureate caps and gowns, processed down the aisles of Lanterman Auditorium to “Pomp and Circumstance” before administration, faculty, family and friends.
The ceremony opened with LCP Director Terry Villanueva giving the evening’s first remarks. She reminded graduates that a clear and precise understanding of language opens the door to learning, remarking that “whoever has the most words, wins.”

She concluded with a heartfelt good-bye to the graduates and their families.

Each student received a diploma and recited a poem based on the statement, “I am from . . . .”  In addition to diplomas, Evan Jayaraj received a certificate for honors at entry to Campbell Hall High School,  Maneh Khudyan received a scholarship to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Anahit Matevosyan was accepted into both the theater and music conservatories at Cal Arts, and Zoya Qureshi and Evan Jayaraj received the Knights of the Round Table Award for outstanding citizenship.

The class of 2025 received acceptances from the likes of Cal Arts, Flintridge Preparatory, Loyola, Polytechnic, Flintridge  Sacred Heart, St. Francis, Mayfield Senior, La Salle, Notre Dame, Providence and others.

Eleven of the graduates had attended The Learning Castle and La Canada Preparatory since kindergarten, otherwise known as “lifers.” They were Alexander Amirian, Saige Fregia, Vick Grigoryan, Evan Jayaraj, Maneh Khudyan, Ben Kuzoyan, Jasmen Madadyan, Alexandra Oganesyan, Dylan Polanco, Zoya Qureshi and Sofia Shah.
