TLC/LCP Receive Six-Year Accreditation
The Learning Castle and La Canada Preparatory are pleased to announce that it has received a six-year accreditation , the highest level of accreditation possible, from the Accreditation Commission for Schools of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).
The schools underwent an intensive eighteen-month self-study process followed by a four-day campus visitation by commission representatives at the end of April 2025. This is TLC and LCPs second full accreditation following a three-year initial accreditation in November 2015 and a full accreditation in April 2019.
The commission evaluated the schools on vision and mission as well as schoolwide learner outcomes (SLOs), critical learner needs (CLNs), methods for evaluated progress and success, organization, staffing, facilities and more. During the visitation, representatives met with teachers, staff, students and parents to learn more about the culture of our schools.
The committee commended TLC and LCP for their commitment to individualized learning, use of customized curriculum and having a passionate, caring and knowledgeable staff.
