Lady Knights Win First Championship in Twelve Years

In front of a packed house at St. Francis High School, LCP defeated Barnhart in straight sets, 25-5; 25-22, to win the Foothill Sports League Championship.
The title is the first for LCP since the championship season of 2010.

LCP dominated Barnhart in the first set, running away on the service of Talia Mardrussian, who scored the final 12 points of the set on her serve.

The second set was a different match.  Barnhart pulled out to leads of 5-2 and 8-4, before Chloe Dehnoushi led LCP on a 6-point run on her service to give LCP a 10-9 lead.  The Lady Bobcats pulled ahead again, going up 16-12, but Allexa Valencia led LCP on another 6-point run on her serve to give the Lady Knights the lead to stay.

Talia Mardrussian closed out the match with an ace to give LCP the title.

Congratulations to Coach Jill and the 2022 Lady Knights on an amazing season.  LCP finished the season 9-1 with an unbeaten record in league play.
